Default Bass fishing with kids??? Bait, lures?

Does anyone know an easy bait or lure that i could have my kids use for bass while i fish also? I have alot of plastics and lures. Seems like every other cast they get snags, does not really make for a fun time for them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

ok,i started to bass fish when i was nine.take them on your boat and fish with either night crawlers or shad;under a bobber.also, use your electronics.with lures:keep it simple.use easy to use lures like spinnerbaits or shallow running crankbaits.do your kids have any fishing experience?

Took my little bro fishing yesterday, he's nine. Cost me a fortune in lures. No fish.

My oldest daughter is ten. I keep her on soft plastics. She actually gets bored easy and ends up dead sticking. Low and behold she actually outfishes me sometimes when doing this. The biggest thing she hasn't caught onto yet is setting the hook on that initial bite. I also bring live shiners for her on occasion, run a small slip style bobber and let her go. I fish when I can, but most of the time is getting her unsnagged. I fish the Stick Marsh so there are lots of things for her to get caught up on. Just enjoy the time w/ them while it's still cool to be w/ Dad.
