Use more natural colors in clear water-watermelon, watermelon red, green pumpkin, etc.

Use light line. Natural colors are a plus.

Agree with lighter lines, and I'd go with spinning gear and florocarbon.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has had this problem. Check this out. I'm from Oklahoma, all I've ever used is baitcasters w/ heavy braided line my whole life. When I joined the Navy everywhere I've been its pretty much been the same kind of water. Now that I've been stationed up here in Maryland, things changed (equipment wise). I had to go to BPS and buy me a spinning reel and then came the best part, as funny as it sounds...........learning how to use it! That thing kicked my butt. But I can't use 4-6lb line on my baitcaster and thats what this clear water calls for. Now, after using it for about half a year, my Quantum PTI-20 decked out with BPS flourocarbon is usually my "go-to" rig. Listen to these guys on this board, there is ALOT of good guys on here w/ some good knowledge.
