Jet Decision
Well, as some may recall, I have been shopping for a boat for the past two years. During the course of my "Boatquest", I reached the following conclusions:
1) I want a boat with a jet. 2) I do not want a pure bass boat because I intend to do a lot of river fishing on the Delaware and Susky. 3) I want an aluminum boat with a hull gauge of at least .100. 4) I do not want a boat that is too small which I will out grow. It must be big enough for myself and my kids when they get older. 5) The wife has ruled that the boat must fit in my garage. So, at this point, the boat that I am likely going to get is a G3 1860 CCJ DLX. It has a 90/65 jet and a tunnel hull. The console is centered and up toward the front so you can see the rocks while navigating the river. Anyway, just thought I would update you guys on the "Boatquest" (kinda' like the movie Visionquest except I don't have a cool soundtrack). |

LOL bud you may not have a cool soundtrack but you have done your homework VERY well. Most folks woulda not taken the time you have to arrive at what EXACTLY they want in a boat befopre pursuing it. You carefully weighed out what you wanted from a boat and came to a desicion and an excellent one I might add that will most likely leave you with personal satisfaction in klnowing that this boat will be with you for along time.

FastLaser, thank you for the compliment. I must admit, although I am 99% sure that I have solved the "Boatquest" with my current G3 selection, I still second guess myself sometimes. It is good to hear some good feed back.

UPDATE: Yesterday, I put a deposit on the G3. I am so excited that I can hardly sleep. Finally, the boatquest is coming to an end, next big taske will be entitled "Payquest".

What engine are you powering it with? They say you can't go too big with jet outboards or its wasted gas.
