More Snow....
I'm sure it doesn't sound too substantial to you guys who got 30", but we're looking at another 3-5 tonight. Tomorrow should be a fun one.

On top the two we had (which turned it to bare spots and 3' drifts), we're supposed to get another 6-10". Probably won't get anything, but here's to hoping for no school tomarrow!

2 inches on the ground now about 1 inch on the roadways. It's going to get rough quick. No one around here was expecting this so there wasn't any salt or brine on the roads till about an hour before all this started...

We are supposed to get 8-10" Tuesday - Wednesday. I can't wait. We haven't had snow in a week or two. I might actually get to go skiing before I head west!

All I can do is try to sympathize, boys. It just don't snow down here. We are getting forecasts of freezing rain here Wed-Thurs. I'd take the snow if anything for the novelty of it.

All the schools were closed even before the snow started this morning.
About two hours into it, and the roads are bad. I had to go to the store (no, not cause we're gonna be snowed in for months and need to stock up on emergency supplies, lol). The roads are pretty nasty, and getting worse. I feel bad for the people who have to drive home from work tonight. Glad I don't have college classes tonight. BB

They are forcasting a freezing rain, snow mix on thursday. If it does happen it probably won't amount to anything. The ground is too warm for it stick, it makes over passes slick and that's usually about it.

We've had a light winter, moderately cold but very little snowfall...today it's almost 45 degrees and sunny... maybe 3-5 inches on the ground typically there's a few feet

We are expecting around 10" up here in RI tomorrow.
Seeing pictures of the DC area reminded me of how things looked here in the blizzard of 78 |

It snowed here friday night. Woke up to about 25 inches sat morning. Bad thing was the power went off around 11pm friday and just came back on tonight. I drove 100 miles up to my cabin to get a couple of kero heaters. Now all I gotta do is get the stink outta here. Oh by the way we are supposed to get 4 to 8 more tonight.

They're calling for snow showers here Friday. If it happens, that'll be the first time I can remember that it's snowed 3 times in one winter.

Being 50 miles south of DC I'm getting a lot less snow. Only 4" so far but blizzard conditions with the winds over 35 mph. Getting close to a record amount for the year. Most snow recorded in DC area.
