Default 1991 Bass Tracker Pro 17

I just purchased a used Tracker and the speedometer and gas gage do not work. What do you think the problem is?

tube could be plugged up with trash. take it off and hit it wiht and air blast. just disconnect it form both ends and blow it out. put it back on and see if that helps frist. then if it doesn't, the gauge itself is faulty. buy a new one. fairly cheap.

gas gauge, float is probably watered logged (or gas logged), again, only fix i can say is to get a new one. gauge may be messed up, buy a new one. again, gauge is fairly cheap. float....depends.

Speedometers rarely work for long. The problem is the pickup tube on the lower unit gets clogged - speedo stops. Clearing it can be tough if the sediment or whatever is in there, solidifies and becomes very hard. The other issue is they are not very accurate, I really don't understand why, with GPS so reasonable and available now, boat manufacturer's still put them in their boats. IMO, they are not the most useless thing you'll find on a boat.

Fuel gauge - most common fault would be the sending unit (located in the tank), or possibly the float is stuck. There should be a round hatch for access to the tank, probably under or behind the seats whick will need to be removed to gain access.
