manns hardnose baits

what does everyone think about manns hardnose baits i got 6 bags of the bait for christmas like there junebug worm, freefall worm, finess worm, jerkbait, flipping craw, swimming toad

I don't have much to say about them, I have used them before, they sure do look good, and I really like the hard nose, but I can't recall catching a fish on them yet??? I just need to try them more often I guess.

I am pretty sure the last big tounament for BASS in fla the winner used the hardnose Manns worms....I 've been using the manns junebug jelly worm for 20 years, its a great worm for murky water.

i think that was luke clausen jb ,and i think he won the classic a few years ago. i cant remember off the top of my head though.

Clauson won the Classic last year, and a Mann's hardnose was one of the baits he used. I don't remember which one, but at the time it was brand new.

i think it was the 6'' worm,he reeled slowly with his rod tip in the water through lily pad beds to catch big spawning females.

I used the frog. It stays on the hook and lasts. I have had better results with the Horny Toad in numbers though.

FYI, just for future reference, VERY VERY rarely do full time pros use a commercial bait like a manns hard nosed bait. Everything they use is custom, behind the counter. The sponsors have a big part in them promoting their items, OF COURSE. I know a pro, and we have them speak at some major functions in the midwest and behind the scenes, they have all three admitted to it. Just didnt want anyone to rush out and buy the latest thing because someone said they won a tourney with it

Clausen didn't use a manns worm for the most part...maybe 1 fish came off of it...he was using a gambler worm for the majority of the tournament.....they have pictures of his worm and it's clearly not a manns....I love manns baits however.

I should have patented the idea of hardnose baits 7 years ago when I started coating the heads of flipping worms with super glue to make them last longer. Its a good idea. I don't know if those particular worms work well, but eventually I think most commercial worms will be of the hardnose variety.

Or maybe not, as it means you get more life out of a pack of worms, which can be construed as a bad thing to worm manufacturers.

Its a little more costly to do a hardnose, the hardener I have to add to mine is pricey, or can be. My grandads noodles are really a pretty hard bait, the hooks inside need to stay there, at least for a couple of fish.

Hardnose are good but they have to have the proper hook. Too much working through the hard stuff will get you two pieces of worm. A head and a tail. I have yet to catch anything with them yet but I did buy into the concept.
