Default go to baits

what is that one lure that you will turn to when nothing else in your tackle box is working? what are your favorite baits? i have personally had the most luck with roadrunner spinner jigs and those are my "go to baits." what's yours?

Depends on the time of year and the current situation but over all I really like a Bomber shallow fry crank in a silver side with chartruese and blue top awesome crank bait.

This year has changed for me from Senkos last year to a shaky head jig, the one with a flat on the front and a screw on worm holder. Also this has only worked its magic using a green pumpkin Berkley Gulp shaky head worm. I tried others such as roboworms, etc., and they just don't get the results as the Gulp.

i dont know ill tell you this i used to have a confidence bait(sweet beaver, penetraion color) but as i fish more and more and aquire more tackle, its not so much one bait rather confidence in my self to find a bait the fish wants, what color, what size and most important the presentation. quick story; this year i was fishing a small golf course pond, and all i brought with me was a white spinner bait, i found a bass bedding so i buzzed it by her a couple times, nothing. i tried to roll it acroos her bed, nothing. i tried bouncing the spinner like a jig on her bed, the bass showed intrest but still nothing. so what i did was suspend it abover her bed and give it quick little shakes and every few shakes i would let it hit her bed and in less than 20 seconds wham a nice 4lb bass.

This Year Ive Had A Lot Of Luck On The Yamamato Shad Shape Worm On A Drop Shot Rig. A Good Lure To Fill A Limit. Havent Caught Anything Big On It. For A Big Fish It Is Always A Jig.

My Go-To baits:

600+ cranks
100+ Spinnerbaits
100+ Jigs
50 lbs of worms, grubs, creatures, stickbaits, jerkbaits
50 swimbaits

There´s always something in my T-box that will catch fish.

If I had to choose just three lures to take with me they would be a white 3/8 oz. spinnerbait, a 5 inch TIKI Wave Worm in red shad, and a Rapalla DT-10.

Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver 4.20 (California)
Culprit 7 1/2 red shad w/green flakes.
Shakey head w/green pumpkin french fry.
Roboworms are soft and can tear up easily, however thats a worm that you may wish to try on a shakey head.

If i could only have one lure it would be a 2 3/4" silver Original Floating Rapala Minnow. I always have at least 2 in my box they have never failed me yet. You may not always get big fish but they catch everything from Bass to Walleye you just never know what you'll catch but you won't go hungry
