Making a trolling spoon into a jigging spoon.
Since large jigging spoons can be hard to come bay, I was wondering if you could pound a trolling spoon with a hammer and make it flat like a jigging spoon so you can verticle jig it with out the large flutter and roll. Thanks fishin fool

Trolling spoons by nature are already very thin and tend to be lighter than regular jigging spoons. Their design and weight won't make them "jig" well. If anything, they'll they will flutter quite a bit and slowly as a first best guess.
You might be better off taking some dining spoons (real ones) and cutting them at the spoon and use the handles. This is what I am going to do over the winter. I bought about 20 spoons from a yard sale for $0.50 and I am going to fiddle and tinker with the cupped end and handle.
