i actually gain 1-3 feet over the set depth with the dt's. a dtf is a differant beast i have 3 dtf 7 and still can't hit bottom in 7 feet of water.. dtf 3 are great shallow bait which i have to wait for that shallow bite to start. but it should give the bandit 100's a run for it's money..

i like the bait just wish rapala would get there sh!t togather and offer more than the basic bland colors in the dtf's..right now they are only makin like 5 colors.. we need MORE colors..

Hey zook,

Are you sure they don't make the Wiggle Warts? It was my understanding that they recently brought back the "Original Wiggle Wart". If you look on the site, you can see the "Original Wiggle Wart" and the "Wiggle Wart" are two different lures. I compared some of my old warts to the new re-introduced warts and they seem to look the same (with the exception of the snap which appears to be a different size. Am I missing something? Are the old Wiggle Warts older than me?

I am really big fan of the Wiggle Warts. Those are an awesome bait. I caught a 5lb Smallmouth on one last year.

They do not make wiggle warts anymore!!!!!!!!!

Rapala does make a half-assed attempt, calling it a Wiggle Wart, supposedly using the 'same' molds and calling them original. Can't be original when they're two friggin pieces

Find a wart in a red label, or an older blue label, and you'll have one, until then, might as well buy an enlure, or roll your own

I have been buying the ones listed as wiggle warts and love them. They are a good bait. I dont know about the original part but I did see one go on Ebay for over $500. Those must be the ones you are refering to

After throwing a lot of different baits the best ones IMO are the Rapala DT series and for shallow cranking a Bandit 100 series are tough to beat.

zooker, i bought a air brush..i paint all my shad raps and husky jerks any color ...dont know if you are in to this..zell rowland got me painting my lures about 10 years ago..those air brushes are something else..

i use it on my spinnerbaits and top waters also..i have neatest looking lures on lakes..

they have classes in most areas that show you how to use AIR BRUSH..i went to one for ceramics and learned how to use it and different colors..

you can even use it to touch up nicks and scratchs on your boats, its a lot of fun to paint your own lures..
