Default one trick i have found out

is take a zoom red shad u-tale worm and cut half of the tail off use it weightless on say 2-4 lb trilene xl and throw it near the edge of lilly pads and lets sink.

p.s. it also works when u put a bobber on and deadstik near the edge.

hope it works for u if u try it. sure it is light line but it does work, this how i learned how to play the fish ;D

-PB

p.s. if u try this lemme know how it worked. It produced 4 bass for me in 15 minutes

Around the pads, always use a weightless worm. Weight only kills your action. Just something I've learned.

2 lb line for bass sounds pretty iffy to me. I saw an expert on TV once, he was fly fishing from the shore of a highland pool for stripers. On 2 lb line. He landed a 10+ lb fish! So I guess it's possible. He was actually looking for the world record on 2 lb line, but barely fell short.

Geez, 2lb test. I'd just go with like 8lb power pro with the same diameter as 1lb mono.
