PB,
Â* Â* The best I have found is Cabela's brand leader, made by Seagar. That is the toughest, most abrasion resistant I have found, although it is a little stiff.

PB, I just use 17 lb Green Trilene XL. Haven't tried Flourocarbon yet. Think I'll spool up a reel just to see how I like it.

I was going to ask why you were going to tie a leader on but the carolina rig a leader is required. I do not think the flourocarbon line is needed. The carolina rig has the weight pulling on bottom kicking up the bottom substance and then the lure is swimming behind so there is no need to be invisible because the fish is keyed in on watching the weight or lure as you pull it along the bottom.I hope this helps.
