Default lure potentials

Based on the previous post, what is your lifetime potential rating, in fish (all species), for the following lure types:

plastic worm (all styles) (ie. a 1 million fish l.p.)
tube
grub
skirted jig and trailer
spinnerbait
crankbait
spoon
in-line (ie. 1000 fish)
fly (900 fish l.p.)
jerkbait
topwater plug
buzzbait
plastic explosives

spoon: a couple pike maybe
in-line: no idea
fly: bunch of panfish
jerkbait: about as many as a worm
topwater: eleventy billion

YEP!! Â* Â*;D
Consider this, then figure it for me.

I use a crankbait more than any other lure. Period.I will use it anywhere, anytime, in any conditions, and at anytime of the year. I catch about 60% of my fish on them.

I have been useing them for almost twenty years, and considering i am still a few years from 40, i have a good many years of bass fishing ahead of me.

So, what would my fish potential on crankbaits be?

Not enough zeros. Â*

Your talent with cranks supports the statement,
Quote:
no one lure is more important than any other unless it has more potential than other lures during an hour, a day or a season.)
The scale, to repeat, is a sliding one for each lure category. Some of the major factors that affect the numbers is one's individual taste, preferences, flexiblity, interest in different lures and devoped skill.

A spaz may not be coordinated to walk-the-dog, but anyone can pop-the-popper, so the spaz's topwater plug l.p. is still at 1,000 or more depending on how much he enjoys the topwater bite and how much he seeks it by using topwaters.

Charles scours the depths and bottom (Clunn-esque style), covers miles of water and could very well beat a Senko-man that prefers much slower presentations. But a lot has to do with the types of waters he fishes. Shalow ponds choked with milfoil will not allow a crank to used. If the bass are under grass- ditto. If that's all one fishes, the opportunity is much less (pre and post weeds) than canyon lakes in Arizona or California.

Good point Charles.

Well you did say potential ;D. And of course I use a lot of different stuff, but I think you can catch any bass on a Lizard at least 1 time in it's life.
