Whats so bad about senkos?? Sure they are expensive and tiki stiks are better, but they still catch lots of fish.

but thier more exspensive and as you said tikisticks are better,i am not saying these are bad im just saying if you were to go in a store and they tikis on one side and senkos on the other and you pick senkos your stupid
#1 they catch more fish #2 they are less exspensive #3 they dont rip up as easily you can catch 4 or 5 on a tiki but only one on a senko two if your lucky so jonny forget about the senkos

yea KH is right, but...., if you REALLY want senkos at a decent price check E-Bay. I actually found a guy who sold them for 3 bucks a pack and like a dollar for shipping, four bucks for a pack of worms isnt anything good by any means, but still better than 6 or 7 that you'd usually pay.

The ones on E-bay are Senko knockoffs - some good, some bad. If the salt and softener aren't in the proper ratio, the sticks have limited uses.
If you want the real deal, you will have to pay over 70 cents a worm (tax, shipping or gas mileage). Many knockoffs are adequate for most situations and I'll never be tempted to buy Senkos again until they lower the price. (Maybe not even then.) Thank god I pour my own! SS |

i dont think there is a way to get wholesale senkos, just the usual 5 or 6 dollars which is expensive for worms, but personally i think its worth it, senkos work great for me.

wish I could find somebody selling the Kreature in bulk and cheap, or would be nice if tiki made an exact replica of the Kreature but less salt so they hold up as well as the tiki sticks.

i think senko's are much better then any knock off. i pay $4.75 for 5" or $4.50 for 4"
but i do have a few tiki's and quite a few yum dingers different days the fish may want a little different action/fall rate. but day in and day out i catch more fish on senko's. to me they are well worth the extra $1 or 2 to catch more fish |

I own around 1,000 senko style baits. Wacko's,Tiki's,Assalt stix's,Strike kings and so on. I just counted 15 different brands hanging on my wall in the basement. Still to this day,the GYB Senko is the best,it may only last one fish. This is the reason I have purchased so many other brands to figure out what comes close. Some do,but only one has mached it.I buy them in bulk from a guy at the Bass-a-rama they hold in Richmond Virginia every winter. No name on them and he's there every year. 50 count for $5.50.I bought around 40 bucks worth last year.

Gents, I have been reading several of your post about knock off brands of stick baits, I won't call them SENKO's because there is only one SENKO. I have test about every kind of stick bait that is made in my nice test pond (the pool) and by far, none of the knock off have the action or will perform like a SENKO. Yes I am sponsored by GYCB, but that is because I believe in them. I have in many a many tournament from either the front or back out fished other guys using knock offs. Now the mention of only catching one fish per SENKO is not true. I have recorded and had a witness to catching 34 bass on ONE and only ONE SENKO!! If you look at the sponsors for this website your will see PRO's Soft~Bait Glue. Here lies our little secret!! PSBG is designed to repair soft plastic baits like the SENKO an other. It is unlike other cyanoacrylate product it does not get hard in the bottle. Garranteed for 1 YEAR!! After 5 seconds in water it is orderless, and stays flexible. You can actually glue a SENKO to the hook without putting the hook through the bait!! If you have not tried it I suggest you do. You can see it on OLN's Fishing with Roland Martin. If anyone has questions concern this product your can ask it here and I will answer it or visit our website, which is on the sponsor page!

So you can definately tell me that your presentaiton, and where you placed your baits, or color had nothing to do with you outfishing the other guys The fall rate of some of the knockoffs are either faster or slower, and at times to me that makes a big difference also. I'm not saying that the Senko's won't out perform the Knockoff's at times, but the reverse will also happen. I think the Yum Dinger is about as close as I've found on Mimicking the Senko. I have to agree with ya on the Pro's Soft Bait Glue and have talked about it here before. It's a great product, just gotta keep from glueing my fingers together all the time In my experience, the knockoffs work fine, just some better than others. I think they all have ther time and place. You also must take into account the scent(amino acid stuff too) of the bait, and using a scent can make a difference. I am not disputing Senko's are a good bait, but they aren't the only stick bait that can and will catch fish. And if you are wondering, yes I use Senko's more than the knockoffs as a general rule, or the Yum Dingers are my second choice. Good post, and glad you joined, hope you will continue to stick around and share your knowledge and experiences Lizards

Use senko's w/ Soft-bait Glue
I agree with Gunny Woodpecker. The senko definitely has some advantages over the knock-offs. Just use the Pros Soft Bait Glue and that will keep you from losing ALOT of your baits. Just a drop of glue is all you need. Some knock-offs are just a bit too stiff for my liking. Sometimes it's the very subtle action that makes a bait successful, and when you stiffen up the body of a stick-bait with lesser quality plastic, you lose that subtlety. The glue will save you more money using senkos than you will buying knock-offs alone. Keep fishin!
