I like the idea of using the same type of "piping" that goes into a person's golf bag to keep the clubs seperated.

No tubes, rod socks for me. Tubes are to much of a PITA for me especially with the 7' rods. Some guys don't like removing or installing the socks, but it works for me. I can keep 20+ rods in my locker with no problem, can't do the same with tubes in my boat. No tangles, no "caught" rod guides installing or removing rod from tube. BPS has some OK ones. Stors-It makes some really good ones, but they aren't cheap.

Speaking of that do you know where that piping could be had. I plan on revamping my rod locker on the tidecraft to bett accomadate the 97 rods I take with me. LMAO!!! I always say I am gonna just take 5 or 6 and end up taking the whole damn lot. Therefore I really need to add these pipes to my rod locker.

Default Tubes

The golf bag tube work well. They are vey inexpensive and easy to cut if you need to. I used them in a Procraft I used to have. I got some 4 - 5 inch thick foam and cut it (oversized) to fit the locker towards the end of it. Cut slots in the foam and push the tubes into the slots. Hope this makes sense.

They really need to make a one size rod case that can hold rods up to 7'6". Although I have seen some carry totes that hold the rods, they rarely are made for rods and reels.

I purchased a Frabill combo carrier and hated it because when it was folded, the rods laid on top of each other. I ended up returning the thing and bought some new lures.

Guys, I made one of these:

Cost about $25 and works like a charm.

REBBASSER YOU DA MAN OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!! How much simpler could that be. That fella that did that did a FANTASTIC job of describing the procedure (and he used a old millwright trick for cutting something to fit) and it turned out VERY well. Thanks for the clip. Now where's the ole ladys cuttin board.

Default Cheap rod holder HELP!!

Guys, A few of you have mentioned offered up the link for the cheap rod organizer as described on BBC. Problem is, this link now leads to NOTHING! I remember seeing this a few months ago, but I had no use for it til now. I just bought a ProCraft Super Pro 210 and I want to get it rigged the way I want it before I start putting gear back in--it'd be easier this way.
