flooding--, water raising high

in NC we had some hardcore rain with flood warning everywere. What does that do to the fishing, is it worth going to fish on the bank? whats some good stuff. I am sure the water will be dirty aswell. the weather has been 80s but it dropped about 10 degrees the past 2 day, I doubt that constitutes a cold front since the water temp probably wont be effected by 2 day. I was thinking a big old blueish/black spinnerbait with a colorado blade and rattle, slow rolled, an off colored green crank and some grub on a spinning setup, i will take all advice

I just read when the water rises from flooding it's a good idea to fish the depth where they were right before the water had risen. In other words if you were catching them by brush or whatever kind of cover try to fish those same spots. Might be hard from shore but it's worth a try. No problem from a boat.

For a shorebuster flooding is a God send, my opinion anyways.
Jig the new covered bushes, laydowns ect. Black and blue is always good in 'dark' water along with firetiger. noise is good so try a chaterbait.
Remember, flooding nocks alot of bugs, larva, catipilars ect. This brings minnows and sunnies which brings bass and pike. Three and four inch swimbaits can be a killer too. Even if the flooding is followed by cold front the new food source usually triggers feeding anyways. As bassin said, remember the three foot holes you were fishing are now 6 feet deep. If they were there before they usually will still be close althought they range out alittle more to feed returning to familiar haunt to rest and shade.

close to you, in hickory fish 127 landing alot, the flood has showed me some nice bass, i pitched and got 2 tonite, lost em both and didnt get to see em. hell soo far this year that is good
