Default Weekly Lake Fork Fishing Report

Well, the cool has left us wondering where did it go? We are now in the normal weather pattern. The fishing has been good. The little bass that were born this spring have invaded the banks and are schooling off and on. Top water such as the Pop’r type baits are working very early. Wacky worms, Wave Tiki Sticks weightless, Lake Fork Tackle ZigZag’s weightless, Spinner baits, and tail spinner type baits fished like a spinner bait have been very productive. Texas and Carolina rigs are working around the grass and main lake points. The lake Is a little low and the water is around 82 degrees. This should set the stage for a great McDonald tournament. The northern areas are a little stained but the south end is clear. .

The crappie are still running small with some good fish mixed in. I still have a few days open next week, for those who wont to get out and find a run or good spot call and we can set up a date.
