Default top water tricks

i got this from a mailing list i'm on

Topwater 101
Don't strike too early by trying to set the hook when you see the strike. Instead wait a second or two until you actually feel the fish on. Remember it is trying to kill it and will not want to let go. Often anglers set the hook too early and pull the bait away from the fish.
