Default Kill switch

i am gettting ready for some tournaments this year and don't have a kill switch. I have a 79' 80 hp merc o/b and i found a universal switch but I need to know if a motor that old came with a emergency stop circuit.

any o/b motorheads out there?

just wire it into the hot wire from your ignition switch to the starter..should be fairly simple.
i believe nowadays most tourneys require a working kill switch.

Right you are there bassin. Simple and yes its required and becoming more of a requirement on 50hp and larger boats inseveral states. Just a plain helluva good idea to have one anyways.
