Default whats would be the best?

ok i live in missouri around the southeast part and i was wondering what would be some of the best lures to get the best hits....me and my friend fish in his pond with murky water and we mostly get bass hits with rubber worms and dark colored crank baits, and very rarely top water baits (buzz and torpedo), so i was wondering if anyone could help

wild shiners, but you wanted lures. its a good time of year for topwaters and with the murky waters you have a buzzbait in a dark color may be just the ticket.

i live in southwest missouri by joplin! But try a hocus locus for top water it may work or a popper. You may also want to try blade dancers. Also try floating worms, i have great success on the pond down the road from me!

Well, you found what they like, and that might be all they hit. They might hit other stuff though. Try a spinnerbait with a big colorado blade.

I agree with the spinnerbait with Colorado or Indiana blades. Also a black/blue jig!!

Great. Wappapelo back when I was fishing the lake was a great lake to fish. At the time a person could find fish in several different modes so to speak. If memory serves me right the water was realitively clear, lots of timber and grass. Loved flipping a jig around the wood in the weeds. Was frustrating but the end result was great. That lake was actually the lake that got me into punching through the weeds and getting to the bottom of things. I would definatley try more of the heavy weighted jigs and/or pegged plastics. Would be nice to get back up there and give em a try again. Caught alot of 4 lb plus fish in that lake.
