Sites for safe free game downloads?
Anyone know and trust a website for downloading simple games without risking infections, spyware, adware and so forth. I also don't want to play on line OR download a toolbar. I'm looking for solitare particularly. Both the basic and freecell versions.

My HP laptop had several games preloaded, the ones you mentioned were included.

Keith anytime you download something. Just go to the manual install as opposed to reccomended and then uncheck the toolbar it tries to auto install. But as far as trusted sites there are very few left any more. If you just get the spyroot websweeper software it will take care of the rest.

My wife plays online games at a sight called Pogo. I was very reluctant to let you do this on my computer, but her little netbook just isn't big enough for her, so I let her....I've since checked my system several times for adware, spyware, malware, virus, etc, and never found a problem, so I guess their website is safe.
But as others have said....Most all versions of Windows comes with a version or two of solitare installed.

I'll have to look at my system again to see if solitare is already on it. I don't think so, but it's Windows 8 and I'm really having to work to find things. It's quite different from Windows XP. It looks like their are plenty of game apps one could download, but I don't see solitare nor do I know if there is a fee.

Well, there are a bunch of apps available from what I can see, but it says to go to the Windows store to get them. So I am assuming they are not actually loaded onto the computer until you download it from the store. Am I correct on this? It looks like some aps are free, and others you have to pay for.

sorry paula, my bad. i guess the guy who rebuilt my laptop added games for me. i never use them though.
and daniel......oyu KNOW which finger i am holding up right? and no oyu ain't #1. lol!!!
