Default Once upon a time

Once upon a time many years ago I was invited to fish perhaps one best fisheries available on the east coast. The Val Halo of striper called CBBT (Cheasapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel) is 17 miles of pilings riprap and two under ground tubes piled over with giant rock. One high rise and a grand total 14,000 cement pilings. That year was a banner year for 40 inch plus convict bass on light tackle. We arrive at dawn and launch boat off of trailer. A frost covered the ramp and docks and it was slippery. There where four of us that day in a small but capible boat. The owner proceeds to crank the engine and it does not start. Quickly two of the guys took over trying to get the Yammy started but it would not even sputter. I stood back watched from a safe distance as tempers flared and ideas formed as to issue and cause. They pulled the gas line and drained the carb. They pulled a plug and cranked the engine claiming to have seen a spark. They went over every conceavable scenaro and continued to curse at each other. They gave up and decided to put the boat back on trailer and drive home 6 hours defeated.

I asked if I might try.. the owner said have at it.

I got in the boat and asked the owner where his kill lanyard was since it was missing. Pics from the day.

How long did they try before they gave it up? You're evil, man, just evil.

I like that.

Three hours of screaming and cursing.
But I am not evil as I did not see the missing lanyard till I got in the boat.

It's always something simple isn't it , nice pics by the way the birds swarming the boat looks like something out of a king movie .

I didn't think you'd waste all that fishing time if you knew what the problem was, but I wasn't sure. Forget the part about being evil.

I did that with my dad's boat a few years ago. We got some friends to tow us to the bank and spent about 30 minutes doing everything we could think of. Then some genius popped the clip back on and it fired right up...amazing.

I have made several trips across that bridge over to the Eastern Shore to fish for Flounder. After deer season is over we will be out there trying to catch some of those "convict bass"!!! What a blast. Nice pics!!!

BK 10 inches long in opening night was the key. 3/4 once to 1/2 between tides.

Rock candy as in eels are not my bag. I am a run and gun light tackle commando..

Two rods is all I need or one fly rod will work just as well.

It is referred too as "force fishing" by the jedi guides.
