Default Weekly lake Fork Fishing Report

Well, the fishing has different this year. Just when you have it figured out they change the pattern again. There is a new wave of fish on the beds in many coves around the lake. There are plenty of males protecting fry. The morning has been started with many different baits. Top water Pop’r, weightless Wave Tiki Sticks, Lake Fork Tackle ZigZag worms, lipless crank baits, small shallow running crank baits, buzz baits, and spinner baits.
The best way to fish the top water is two jerks and let it sit. Usually the bite will be while it is sitting still. This is tough for most of us. But this is the best way.
The Texas and Carolina rigs on main lake points and on the out side of the grass is producing some nice fish. Pitching a jig around trees and stumps is another good bet. Big crank baits on points and out over humps is starting to pick up some fish.
The crappie are at the bridges but they are small. Some bridges are holding better fish one day and the next the little fish are back.
I still have a few days left in May and June if anyone is interested in booking a trip.
