Default Union Lake NJ

Fished Union today from 7 to 4 with my brother and we caught 28 bass 3 pickerel and1 crappie all on Yum Dingers and Zoom centipedes. Bass were in 4 to 6 ft of water around grass. Largest bass was 4+lbs, 3 fish of 3+lbs, several 2lbers and 8 dinks. Didn't have a temp guage , didn't see any bass on beds. I don't fish for bedding bass anyway. !st time out in a month I wouldn't have cared if we didn't catch any. CPR.

Yes, it certainly is a great day of fishing. I've been spending all of my time at baseball games and practices for my sons. The best I've been able to do this season is an hour on shore with my 4 year old fishing for crappie! Say, Tom, you been to the 'Squan lately? How are the tourneys going?

I've heard good things about Union Lake, but it's a bit of a long ride for a day trip. Nice catch.

I was at the Squan 3 wks ago. That's where I got my striper.
You gotta go. Head for the area around the dam for stripers, all around the trees for LM.

As in all the reservoirs, be sure to wear your PFD. The rangers are really sticklers about that.
