Default Weekly Lake Fork Fishing Report

Well, the weather is in the news again. The rains that hit Lancaster didn’t hit Lake Fork We got about a half an inch. The recent cool front stalled the fishing some but should rebound quickly. The water temp is in the mid 80s, this is strange for this time of year. The best bet has been start your mornings with small buzz baits, spinner baits, and Texas rig worms. Mid day on switch to Carolina rigs, drop shots, big crank baits, and swim baits. Work these baits over humps, main lake points, and around grass.
I know this sounds like the same report every week but during this time of year the fishing is basically the same.
The crappie are starting to get bigger and the number of better fish are showing up. 16 to 18 foot of water has been the best depth to locate them.
