Default wrist bands

Some pros on TV where what appears to be a form of wrist band but is adjustable on there forearm.

Is this a preventative ref. to sore wrist ?

I've never noticed it, but it could be a couple of things. It could be just a wrist band to keep sweat from running down their arms and making their hands more slippery than they would be normally, or they could be a wrist brace for carpel tunnel syndrom, or something along those lines. If it looks hard, or stiff it's probably a brace.

I've seen Larry Nixon wear one about mid-arm near his elbow..I've wondered about it also and the only thing I can figure it's for is a fishermans form of tennis elbow(pitching elbow?) or some kind of tendon or muscle problem. ??? ???

It also might be a Sea Band, which is used to counter sea sickness.

i would say from wearing them myself they are for tennis elbow ans carpel tunnel both. any repeated motion like that soon wears thin on those joints.just my 2 cents worth.

Wrist bands are getting into style again, my baby wears them just for fun. She just bought one with a smiley face on it.

Thats right its for carpal tunnel in your wrists, even though its worn on the forearm. Somehow keeping those tendons, muscles tight in the forearm helps.

Many golfers wear wristbands that are magnetic and are SUPPOSED to help arthiritis. I my opinion is they're a scam.

Actually, carpal tunnel has nothing to do with arthritis. It's a pinched nerve.
