Yup! Choke will be getting pretty warm about now! Should be in full Summer pattern. Even the alligators are sweating pretty bad down there right now!

Yep, the spawn is way over but there are still good fish to be caught. 4th of July a few years back I caught a 7, 2-5s and 6 3-4 pounders plus a bunch of smaller fish on topwaters and soft plastics. It is a great quality bass lake. Plenty of big gators, too.

Thumbs up

Good lake to do it on-lots of flooded timber and grass.

Fished Choke last week. Water temp (surface) was 83 degrees on most of the lake. Caught over 30 fish in just a little over 4 hours. No hawgs, they were all between 1.5 & 2.5 lbs. Their metabolism was through the roof though, felt like we were fighting 3 & 4 lbr's. We found them mostly in 10 to 12 feet of water, holding on secondary points. We used 6" black lizards. BTW, snakes were out all over the place. Didn't spot any gators, but I'm sure some spotted us.
