Default life expectancy of bass

what is the average life expectancy of a bass? how fast do they grow. i'm just wondering of a 3-5 year old pond is going to have any decent fish in it. 5+ #s. ??? :-[

Strictly depends! ON where it is geographically located, what water depth, cover, forage, prey fish, etc... For example the bass up north will actually live longer, but will not grow as big or fast as say Florida Bass. You very well could have some 5lbers in FL in that time frame, but unlikely up north.

Here where i live (North Mexico) bass grow about 1 Lb each year, so it is possible that you get a 5# in 3 years. The same case for most lakes in south US (not florida)
