Default Size of Jig???

What size of jig is the best to use right now? Fishing in small ponds and rivers in Ohio right now.

Matters what you're fishing in. Thick weeds and grass, go up to a 1oz jig. For fishing around downed trees and brushpiles. 3/8-1/2 o is the best.

Welcome to the forum!

I throw a 3/8 oz. most of the time, but a 1/4 oz. would not be a bad starting point in a smaller body of water.
