Unhappy NNNNOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo..........

Normally, Humminbird coming out with a device that will link a Minn Kota Terrova and a Humminbird chartplotter would have me semi-orgasmic.

Just think...a device that will make your trolling motor take you around a lake, following the shore contour at a selectable depth, with no effort.

It sounds awesome.

Unfortunately, the new iPilot Link only works with Lakemaster charts.

And Lakemaster doesn't cover enough lakes to justify me buying it.

I am sad.

But you just saved some money.

Fishing requires SOME work, you just can't have the machines do it all while you sit on a recliner on the front deck waiting for the rod to bend.

WAIT! A recliner on the front deck? I think I have found my newest option.

You could always venture from Pahdookey though. What about Dale Hallow? That would be justification enough for me. My area is fresh out of luck with much a selection from Navi or LM.

I would want a Terrova for the DP system alone. That would eliminate the need for a power pole at least.

Lakemaster actually has a map of Patoka.

But not Dale Hollow...

Such a shame I have everything I need except the maps.

Oh, and the $800 for the new Link.

Level of extremity is subjective.

Some would consider digging your own lake pretty extreme.

Extreme it is. 6 years with a shovel,1 year didnt dry up as much and had a heart attack so not as much digging that year,70x25x 3.5 normal level, each year as it gets low dig tad more, shown late year with new dirt.Have quite a few plants that cover the surface during warmer months, but still a work in progress.

Back years ago when it dried up annually and could dig more.

Summer veggies include cattails, duckweed, yellow floating heart, yellow lilly, frogsbit, assorted flowers that like wet areas and assorted grasses

Residents some naturally from lizards to every kind of frog found local to cormorants, with it stocked with fat head minnows and shiners.

Extreme can also cover making your own maps when necessary, just need the software and source maps.Garmin or enc, actually early lowrance will read jpg like global map.Even will read map create 6.Bird will not read saved tracs or routes-possibly because they own map companies?Yet save and change the format with another program-sort of a bypass.
So not near as extreme placing a fair size sonar unit in a yak.
As for the pinpoint tracking system they are like bottom line sonar and side finder technology, you buy out smaller competitor then use their patents make your own and lose the old company, with its cheaper pricing.Lakemaster could be the map version.Although it may stay afloat due to sales.
While my opinions are my own believe anti trust laws are not applied as much any more.

Do you want normal or side scan, have an rc boat I can map the entire thing with.Boat can be equipped with smart cast sensors.
Side scan is extra.
Off topic now,sorry about that.
