Guntersville in summer, frog fishing there just sounds like too much fun. There is also always long lake, its my home lake and I know it about as good as anyone else, plus it has some huge hawgs in it, and its got good numbers.

Zooker, I went with the numbers caught per day. I know Onieda and Ontario can have big numbers at times, but Champlain is consistantly good.Y'all didn't think I would say somewhere South did ya ? What th' hell is a mudfish ? P N J

Yeah but my brother lives in Austin/Round Rock... Lake Travis is there(don't know how it is for fishing), and the rest of the highland lakes. I don't know of any more right around him, but there are a ton in Texas..so I'd just like to fish the whole state.

Abu Garcia, If you read the new Bassmasters, The lake where the record bass was caught has filled in with silt, its nothing more than a mud puddle now. P N J

Zooker, Thanks, We do call them Bowfin or Grinnels here.Dang they are difficult as heck to boat.I had a guy reach out to lip one I was trying to boat, before I could say anything , he seen the teeth and yelled and yanked his hand back. Actually it was more like a scream. I wasn't worth a hoot for concentrating on the bite for the rest of the day, I had tears from laughing so much at his expense. They are fun , but hard on the tackle. P N J

I was Gonna say Guntersville.
My wife is from Bama, And when we come down for a visit I cannot find the time. Spending time with fam and other things, I just never get to make it there. But I do got three farm ponds that I fish.
