best 12 lb mono
for bait casting does 12 mono sound good? whats a recomended wal-mart line thats resonable.

i would use 4 lb stren ,they have it at walmart .it will teach u to play the fish

There are several-I prefer green Trilene XL but any of the brand names like Stren or P-line will work. Stay away from those $1.99 for 500 yards bulk spools-the line is one of the most important pieces of equipment you will use, so buy quality.

like reb said dont buy the cheapo crap lines. but you dont have to buy something expensive to get quality. id suggest big game for mono and berkley vanish for fluoro.

i think cajun red cast is the best mono made.
