Talking Putting my non-resident Illinois fishing licsense to use

Well tuff year so I said the heck with it and threw all my rods in the drink!
Then I realized, "I really do like to fish."
So while waiting for my new equipment to arrive I had to dig through my garage to see if I had any equipment I could use while I waited.
Wow what a find....I'm thinking of calling back and cancelling my 'rod' order.
I'm thinking, trash barrels and nets may save me a ton of money!

Can't wait for the Secret Santa Dec. exchange so I can send someone some of my NEW successful lure assortment.

There's never a good excuse not to go fishing!

Somehow, I don't see the Carp Hunters as being an answer to the silver carp problem. lol

This is what these boy's due to make money for 'monkey attack' fits.

Thought I should add it so anglers would know.
You actually take guided trips in an effort to 'aieral shoot' carp.

It's too long but in the first like 3 minutes it show how crazy this craze is, there's like a 13 year old girl, bow shooting carp and and a beautiful representative of our 'female anglers', whom I greatly adore and love, slinging arrows for carp.

Bow fishing carp has a tournament series even.

One of them has a notice to the enviromentalists saying some thing like, these things hit skiers and boaters ,yes we killed them and we're proud of it, get a life.
A little 'harsher' vocabulary though.

Tournament for carp shooting in Wisconsin 2 weeks ago;
Top 5 teams

1) 383 carp thats a boated fish every 90 seconds,
2) 286
3) 290
4) 239
5) 227 carp

Last years champs 3 person team, usually one operates boat but they take turns shooting, boat took on water so couldn't make wiegh in but had an estimated 700 fish, but guess we'll never know.

Big 30 wieght of biggest 30 carp, all species

1) 504 lbs.
2) 503.5
3) 488.5
4) 481.5
5) 459.5 lbs.

Team 5 has a young lady shooter, she's good.
12 boats out of 46 (128 shooters) wieghed in 400 lbs or more.

Just think of all the trash cans of carp!

Now these are night shoots.

Blg carp 58 lb buffalo carp

My question, what is seriously being done about this invasion...I heard electified locks, ect...but I also read there have been reports these fish have made it to the Great Lakes already, or at least past the final barriers to the Lakes(?). What would be the ecological consequences to the fish reaching the lakes?
