Default Alternatives...

I've been fishing a few ponds every day this week. The problem is, the only thing that is really working since the pond is covered in inch-thick green stuff that looks like hair is a zoom trick worm and exude nightcrawler---they're almost the exact same baits! Anyways, i was wondering, what other baits work well where a worm works? I was thinking about trying a PNJ but i dont know what color i would use. Im guessing their main forage is bluegill because whenever i see bluegill in the pocket i fish, i know there are some big bass waiting for them in an opening.

Try some frogs in the scum. If you try a jig pick any color that matches the forage.

Be glad that you've got SOMETHING that's working; not everybody is able to say that.

Anything that's weedless can work, such as tubes, soft jerkbaits, Senkos and the like.

you might try the zoom ultravibe speedworm or zoom ultravibe craw both on top water would be deadly at a place like that.

Awhile back I mentioned that I had a suspicion as to which ponds these were, but you didn't respond. My guess, which I didn't mention by name, was that maybe these were the ponds in the vicinity of the Egypt firehouse. If that is correct, I was there once just to peek, but never fished there.

I'm not sure what Mason Valley is. But the ones I was thinking of are right off Mason Rd. and are public, to the best of my knowledge. They are along part of the Crescent Trail. When you walk in there from the road, the ponds are on the right and there are houses on the left.
