From what i know....there arent much baitfish other than bluegills and small sunfish, no crawfish or minnows...does dat mean i cant use jigs, tubes, spiiner or buzz baits?? need some help =) thanks!!! |

yeah the hard part is finding what they want -the first fish should tell you alot- stick with it. winter fishing is buy design long and tough..even lakes i know and fish in winter. i can at times fish for 6-8 hours and catching 1-2 bass. bass fishing in winter is anything but easy.. jerkbaits, pnj, and lipless baits all work in winter so do jigging spoons. if you normally fish a spot for 20-30 mintues you need to "pitch a tent" and sit on the point for an hour or more.. i once spent 6 hours working a single bridge butment. caught 2 bass both over 3 pounds on a jigging spoon. but it was the best place on the lake in the frigid temps i was fishing.. boring bet the farm it is.. but the reward is outstanding..

Didn't you see the show where they use rats to fish down in your area ?I think the lure was a Matzuo brand rat. P N J
