Default Any Swim Bait Fans on this site?

Just signed up...and was reading threw some threads. Wondering if any of you are into throwing the bigger California type swimbaits? I am a custom swimbait designer and am always looking for new ideas. Baits that are geared for other water conditions and fishing styles, different than here in California.

welcome, i use hard and soft swimbaits regularly.. IMO hardbait swimbaits have a hard time staying down in the strike zone i need. i havent been able to come up with a method to keep it down there and keep it moving, i refuse to put lead in front of it..

Default Thanks for the nice welcome!

Thanks guys,

Hey Matt. how you doing man? If you would like to see some of the things I have done and am working on, you can go to my site www.swimbaitsinc.com

I have two new baits coming out of the mold this weekend, which are a 7" bass and trout style body and a 7" shad style. I also just started working on a sinking herring style bait, that is about 7" long or so! Next will be my version of a catfish bait!

Thanks again, and please do not hesitate to offer your thoughts!

They look pretty good. I may have over looked it, but do you have info on the sink rate and weights on these? I am going to DVL next weekend where I live for the 8" trout.

The only swimbaits that I have caught fish on are the baby E swimbabes..they are balanced well, last longer and have a treble hook system that is quick and easy to setup...the others are from mattlures, expensive, but they work! Check out their ultimate bluegill series...unreal detail

I have several of the Matt's lures blue gills. They are my favorate bedding fish bait. The way they sit on the bed is un matched in any swim bait I know of.

I'm a regular contributor over at this site. http://www.swim-bait.com/forum/ I fish the missouri river. I'd love to fish a 8inch swimbait that mimics the big eyed asian carp
