Just wondering, does anyone have any info or experience with the Lews SG graphite rods.

I have a 1970 lews speed stick spinning rod that cost me 5 whole dollars at a flea market..

Worth at least 100 bucks and feels it.

I've heard good things about the reels, but not much on the rods.

I'd personally go with a company that is better known for their rods.

Hey Cap'n You might be old enough to remember (prob not) back in the 70's Lews tried to market their rods by sending out a rack of assorted blanks, accompanied by various handles (casting and spinning) and guides. The handles just screwed on and the guides just slid down the blank. It seemed like a good idea but didn't last long.

By this thinking you wouldn't try/buy a Zoom crankbait??

They've done a great job with the new reels so I'd say the rods are probably quality too. But I'd have to play with one before I recommend them.

I definitely remember. I still have some old 70s issues of Bassmaster Magazine with the adds for them.
