Default Clean-up lures.

Before you make that move on that dried up spot try fishing a t-rig or a jig-n-pig. You may take a few more out of your honey hole. Today while throwing a scum frog popper I did that with a purple worm. Make that Change before you make that move.

I've made the error of moving without throwing something different on more than one occasion and I wish I could have those times back so I could do it right. On two occasions the fish I was catching were large and I'm sure both times I could've caught more.

Hindsight is great.

Smart thinking moose! I could definitely drop a wacky rig senko into a couple pockets in the pads. We usually motor up to the head a particular weed bed and drift down... we'll usally do with twice before heading to anther spot and coming back at dusk. I could definitely try doing that the second float around.

My buddy did something similar yesterday after fishing around an island with a frog once. Managed to pull out a 6.5 pounder out on a dinger.

That's a beautiful bass your friend caught Sammy! I often use a soft jerk bait for a follow up lure in open water, and when I'm fishing frogs, I'll often follow through with a t rigged bait such as a beaver or craw.
