Default Had a Crappie Day.....

Went to Clear Lake(like that outa the norm for me) and had a quick limit for about 13lbs. Thats a slow morning for Clear Lake. Caught them on Cranks, Jigs and Dropshot. Decided to look for some Crappies for a change of pace. We pulled to a local spot for some big slabs. There were NO boats there when we pulled up adn within 1/2 hr there were 9 boats sitting with us. But on a good note we ripped into those crappie with a vengence. We had at least 25 within the first 1.5 hrs. All the crappie were huge. My buddy foul hooked a slab that went 2.17lbs on a spoon. I got this "little guy" on a crappie jig. Man I had forgotten how much fun they could really be. We had these guys in a boat next to us just get P.O.ed at us because we were CPR only. Every slab we pulled in we released adn they were gettin mad cause they wanted them for dinner. Was really amusing when we tart showin of our fishes IKE style to them and released. Anyways....Ended up back to bass fishing and wrapped the day up with 5 fish going little over 19lbs. Gotta love the fall!!!!!!

Minnows, Small Crappie Jigs, small inline spinners. Usually school around brush piles. Once you find 1, theres usually a lot more there.
