Falcon Deep Diver stick
Has anyone used this rod? I am thinking about getting one exclusively for my deep crankin' needs. I plan on pairing it with my Daiwa Crazy Cranker reel that I received for Christmas.
Falcon Cara T7 Reaction Cast 7'3" Med Hvy Lure Weight: 3/8-3/4In Stock: OutPrice: $169.99Qty Deep Runner, 10-20 lb, This Cara will allow you to make those extra long two handed casts with a DD22. It's balanced right for all day tournament fishing. |

W2BF, I bought last year's model of the same rod. I absolutely love it for the big bruisers like a Series 5 or DD-22. If you get it you won't regret it.

Reb, are you comfortable with the length? Or would you think something longer would cast deep divers further? I know everyone touts a low geared reel for deep divers but what do you think about KVD stating he doesn't use them?

Bob, I am real comfortable with the length-anything over 7' works for me. Regarding the reel-if KVD can use a high speed reel for deep cranks more power to him. I've tried it and am good for about 5 casts, then my forearms hurt so bad I have to stop. I can throw a lot longer with a low speed reel.
