Default MD Get together June 24th

First of all ...all you all are welcome to come down and fish Mattawomen Creek. We launch at 6am in Indian Head Md.

Directions from the 95 take Rt 210 Indian Head Hwy South to the end.
At Navy base make a left on Mattingly Rd. and follow to end at ramp.

Lunch will be served at 2 pm and cold drinks will be available. I have a charter that evening arriving at 3pm so after that you guys are on your own.

Ribs and chicken will be on the lunch menu.

Lets get an idea of who will be there so I bring enough food and drink.

Sign in guys..

I'll do my best to be there. Still having prop issues. Might have to buy brand new one.

I would like to be there, it's relatively close for me. But, I'm having some surgery on Wednesday and it will put me down for a couple weeks. Have a good time, and be safe on the river.

Got to see the doc at 9am but will be on the river. See you at 2pm. Last 2 hours of low tide was sweet on sunday....hopefully you get a similar tide.

When I finally made it to Slavin's everyone had loaded up and headed to lunch due to the fact that "the fish stopped biting" or so I was told so here's a couple pics of the ones that didn't get the message. Although lunch was very good too....so the question is bass fishing or eating good bbq??? Which would you choose?

This one I caught just across from the ramp...

And a nice one out of a feeder creek later in the day

and here's one that would make Bama proud

One day Bama will come up and show me how to catch them!!! He promised......

You're making it real hard to decide Mike!!!! That's a great pic but you need Smell-A-Vision to get the full effect.

By now it shouldn't be too hard to figure out how to catch them on the river. Pretty much show what and where with the pics. You just need the practice!!! But I'd be happy to learn ya a little about the river if you made a visit.
