He's back in Kansas, and apparently sick as a dog. I don't know if he'll be able to say if he's coming or not, as strange as his schedule is.

I texted him a few days ago and told him I fully expect his Crimson arse to be there ; )

On a side note.....I know I've been bending ears way too much on the Dale Hollow subject ; ).

Can't help it! I can't wait to get down there and hook some smallies!!!!! Oh yeah...and to meet as many of you as possible ; )

We have tons of Smallies around here....so I guess it's more wanting to meet some of you.....; )

Not a day goes by, that I don't look forward to this trip ; )

Quick question.

Best color polarized shades for Dale Hollow?
With the water clarity, I'm assuming mossback green?
If so I have that covered. If not, I can get a deal on Gargoyles (ends today)

I have gray and they worked fine during the day. I have an amber pair that I used early in the morning, especially mornings with mist, but I could have made due just fine with the gray. I think your green should do fine. NOTE: last year most of the water I fished was NOT clear, it was greenish and cloudy in appearance (not anything like the Hollow's reputation and it was a surprise to me after the previous year). The previous year it was crystal clear. What will 2014 be? No clue, but I would hope for the clear water.

Thanks boogie!

Probably wouldn't hurt to buy a pair of smoke and a pair of brown for future get togethers on other lakes. Especially for 36 bucks!

Very unlikely - which is why I did not commit to the big house. At this time I'm thinking about a trip to Lake Champlain (which may be my "long distance" trip) sometime in June. I also have other conflicts with my late April - early May plans that are MUCH CLOSER to me. I know you guys will have a great few days, and I'll miss seeing you all once again. I hope going earlier you'll find better fishing than the previous two years and if it was closer I would not hesitate to join you all for 4 or 5 days.

Well, barring some miraculous act of God's mercy...I will most likely be by myself. You can always fish with me.

Unfortunately, this one falls while I'm still in school so I won't be able to make it.

So did he give you a reason for saying what he did about the Harbor House?

Well besides the Harbor House, Dale Hollow Marina doesn't have a cabin big enough to accomodate all of us... If the management can't give us a definate date as to when the kitchen updates will be complete, we may have to look for another resort that can. If they know that we might be taking our business somewhere else, they might get the work done quicker.. I don't know..

Like I said their other cabins are really small and located way up the hill from the marina and in my opinion we could find better lodging elsewhere.

If they can't give us 100% assurance that the updates will be complete by the time we get there, then we possibly need to be looking elsewhere. What does everyone else think.
