This year I gave the 3" fat, salty-tube a try and WOW!! Most of my recent catches (quality and numbers) have been on the t-rigged tube, using a 3/0 wide gap and 1-16 oz bullet wt., on 10# Power Pro and Iron Silk. The crawfish population must have exploded in my local waters, because almost every bass we've opened up, have had craws and plastic worms inside their stomachs. (Yes, we do take some for the deep frier.)

The soft stick is still a great producer, but I've noticed more hits with the 4 1/4". Even cranks (lipless and billed Frenzy cranks) have been getting hit.
Zip for spinnerbaits. Great for flash jigs and hair jigs, as well as jigheads with grubs, sliders and small creature baits.

It's been a great year - from iceout to the present!

1/16th ounce or 3/16? 1/16th is pretty lite..

Spook here for consistant catches, last year for me it was the red ratLtrap.
also plastics with ribbon tail are working for me this month

I've caught 'em here on a wide variety but right now a watermelon red flake or purple flake trick worm has been killer on a 1/4 oz. jighead.

so far I havent had a lot catches on them......Oh well this year Alone I have prob. caught what has taken me 2 yrs to catch. Im hear to tell ya if you know someone that has alot of bass knowledge...ask them to take you fishing, ask Q's
they can teach you alot.I cant stress to you guys how much more confidence
I have fishing with a guy like JB. For yrs. sometime I would go out on a lake and
feel like I didnt know what the heck I was doing,or I would just try a few baits
and get bored. I know there is alot of younger fellows on this site this is for you
Im just trying to save you the stress of learning on your own

LOL

I would have sworn year in and year out the popR is my go to bait, this year its the spook, and buzzbait....I think that is because the water is so super clear this year, the top water bite has changed somehow.

Now that I think about it I have been catching most of mine on a Tiki Stick. Got a few on a jig early in the year and my biggest smallie on a hula grub this past Saturday.
