Default Back to reality

After a weekend on a huge lake , going back to the pond tonight with a slow bite was a wake up call for the dog days of summer, when the bite can be off or slow
We had no sign of life the first hour of throwing the rogue, a buzzbait, and the trusty ol frog..
Finally one hit the topwater frog in open water, right next to the moss canopy.
Next got one down by the dam on a tikki, then another about 14 inches, Denny got one a tikki and had some on the top water frog...
Kinda sucks tho after buzzing on the lake in the big boat to go back to the john boat that is cramped with 100 rods and tackleboxs LOL :

No such thing here... having great fishing from May through October consistently makes up for some slower months (April and November are there, but usually slow bite.)
