Abu Revo S for $100.00. Nice low profile that will fit her hand and not too expensive.

WEB,
You can get good deals on all kind of reels on e-bay. I have bought several Curado's for between $75 and $85. They will have some scratches on them, but the ones I bought new have scratches after bouncing around in my rod locker for a year or two. You may have to clean and re-lube the bearings, but that is an evry winter project for me and takes about 15 minutes per reel. I just bought a like new Shimano Castaic off e-bay for $75 a week ot two ago.
Brownings are going for little to nothing, and they are fine reels. Garcias are almost as cheap, as are most models of Quantum.
You said you taught her on your Curado 201, does she prefer a "leftie"? If so, e-mail me at LabsRus@cox.net, I may have a deal for you.

BPS will soon have the Extreme casting reels on sale for $59.00 Thats a heck of a good reel for that kind of money. I know several members in here who love theirs.

I think the possibility of Web finding a reel with in a 2 Year time frame is pretty much a done deal ?

I could be wrong, it sure the hell wouldn't be the first time.

First off, welcome to the Wack Shack! LHope ya can learn a lot without being brain-washed!

On topic, what is your Guys' overall view on the Low-profile Trions? I need a reel around $100, and was thinking about this or a Shimano Citica. This reel is for T-Rigs...

Any opinions?

Lunk, I personally did not like the trion.Back when I had them, they only made the wide spool model and it was uncomfortable to fish with all day compared to other brands of reels I had at the time.If you get one you can install a bearing under the spool tension cap. This helped the reel tremendously in cranking power, but I am not sure how it made such a big impact on it. I would think the wide spool had everything to do with it, I would suggest a narrow spool trion if you get one. Ivan

PS A Revo S will blow the Trion out of the water, reel for reel in the same price bracket.Note : The Revo S wasn't made yet when the guy posted the Trion as being the best reel for the money.

Thanks, Crane.... Now I'm stuck....

I have $120.00 and I'm stuck on my Texas Rig reel. Shiano Citica, Abu Revo S (which I am still skeptical on. I've heard Abu has many problems), and a Pflueger Trion, all left-handed models.

Any opinions???

I'm buying a Revo S very soon, so you have my opinion. I have yet to meet anyone who owns one who has second doubts about the Revos.

I've heard the Revos are great reels. haven't tried one personally yet, but I am going to get one. Daiwa's are my favorite baitcasting reel so far. And they make left handed models.

I don't really know what I'm going to get this weekend. I have $150 and I'm stuck between the Revo SX, Revo S, Plfueger Trion, or the Shimano Citica.

Yeah, no crap. If it's a recommendation question, don't do it. If it's general discussion, then I guess it's OK...

Any Of The Revo's Are Good. I Have Three Of Them And Love The Performance Of Them. My Revo S Is Probably My Favorite. The Revo Sc I Got At Cabelas Is Also Real Good.

I definitely concur with JB. I think you can learn and refine your skill with about any baitcaster. As far as expense, has anyone used the Daiwa Megaforce? It has many of the higher end bells and whistles for a very resonable cost. I already bought one with some other new goodies at BPS a couple of weks ago. And also, to the parents of those little anglers, my dad took me fishing and I never felt any different from my brother (except that I'm a better fisherman ha ha!) and now I share that love for fishing with my husband and family.
