Default Nearly burned the boat

Yesterday while going over the boat, my brother found the Livewell pump motor in a melted, charred blob in the bottom of the rear compartment that houses the batteries, fuel lines, ect. I'm guessing the switch to the pump got bumped on while we were recarpeting the consol area a couple days ago and the pump ran waterless until it burnt up . I will just chaulk that one up as a close call. The boat is being stored in my brother's shop with our other boats. A fire would have got ugly real quick.

You are absolutely right abu4600. It looks like all we'll have to do is replace a fuse and the pump, about $35.00 total. I'll definitely try to be more carefull now.

I know $35 is a whole lot less than your insurance deductable.
