a 7'6" heavy action with a spinning reel for pitching with 20lbs line
I would use this rod for PNJ's and Carolina Rigs. As much as I hate to admit it, the Baitcaster is a better reel for pitchin, and flippin IMO. Lizards |

Lizards
yeah i can flip with my baitcaster but i can't pitch with it. i know i need to practice more to get it down. and i usually pitch more than i flip. cause i'm pretty good at pitching with that rod and reel |

Re: my planned arsenal for next season
I'd go to 10 or 12 lb on the crankbait rod. 10+ line seems to work a little better on a baitcaster IMO and I like a little more strength for line on a baitcaster. But, as I have said many times, use what works for you, not what works for somebody else.
