WTL you should fish the holt lake, and riverview with us this summer some time! im intrigued by those spotted bass right there in front of the dam.. the guy we fished with last year wasnt very experienced in the boat much less with a rod!!! bingham knows what im sayin..... he never wanted to fish up there but i know its potential and obviously you do too! LETS FISH!

The spots below the dam are always there, but make sure you trust your boat if you go in there past the safety chain. The warning siren blows about 3-4 secs before the water starts. Almost died last year when they fired the dam up on me, I was at the rocky area directly below the spillgates and I basically hotwired the engine to start and flew out of there ahead of the wave from the dam. There are also good fish around the little island. Used to fish from shore before I had the boat ready.
I'll be headed to north before long, we'll do some fishing. The saltwater isn't mixing with me too well.
