Default How's the weather?

Been really nice around here lately.

Yesterday, the ice was breakin loose on my deck! lol
Every hour or so, I'd head out, bust up the edges with a shovel, and pitch it off the deck. I'm ready for Spring!

Good timing too!
Firin up the smoker for the next 2 weekends

Here, at the hotel in Chicago, it's currently 25. It got up to 45 yesterday ... only 31 today. It's supposed to bounce back and forth like that this whole coming week.
But next Saturday ... I'll be flying back home. It's been a little cold there ... in the 60s, from what the Wife says.
I can hardly wait to get home.

Home is Deltona, Florida. About 20 miles south west of Daytona Beach, just north of Lake Monroe/Sanford.

Got up to 38 degrees here today. Still tons of ice and snow out there. In a typical year, the lakes are ice free by March 13th. But last week, the DNR drilled a few holes in the ice and were testing the water, for oxygen content I believe. They are worried about severre fish kills here this year. Ice in some places is still 20 inches thick. Don't think we will see open water by the 13th this year.

Yeah we went out on East harbor on Lake Erie two weeks ago and it was close to 2 feet thick. The entire lake is covered. First time in a while, from what ive been told.

We saw 40 degrees yesterday for the first time since December! Today had to be close to 50, and we melted a TON of snow.

Well, we hit 54 today, and it felt great! BUT, as it always is the case, it's going to be short lived. Forecast for tomorrow is 47, then followed by a strong cold front tomorrow night along with another winter storm watch. We are expecting between 7-12 inches of snow Tuesday night through Wednesday. So much for the melting we had today. But warming up again by Friday.

Been a cold wet frozen stuff winter.
Ding dong the witch is dead, ding dong the witch is dead(wicked witch of the north).
It shall not snow south of the mason dixie line again and if I say it enough ill start believing it again.
These 50-60 days we have had for the last week we normally get every so often all winter.

The dogwoods are going crazy here, it's like they all bloomed at the same time overnight. Last Saturday I saw several in the woods beside the interstate, but yesterday and today, it seems like there's white puffy clouds everywhere.

The wind is howling and the temps are dropping. Snow is coming again. I hope this isn't another year where we have snow till the middle of April. I don't trout fish anymore but can remember a lot of first days the second week of April when it snowed. I've had enough!

We got hit yesterday with 6 inches of heavy wet snow with strong winds. Many power outages accross the region, including where I work, so had the day off.
