Lets see,

More snapping turtles on spinnerbaits than I can remember,
I have hooked several anglers in the boat in the head with my rogue

I hooked a duck in the armpit up at lake erie smallmouth fishing
a few anchor ropes
a few fish baskets

quiet a few snakes, under a causeway on rocks,
frogs, line, lures, boot, jackets,
but the weirdest catch was MY WIFE! lol

A seagull I named Royd.

Oddly enough when you catch a small fish and yank it out of the water onto land, seagulls swarm to pick it up. I tried to yank my lure back before he took it but ended up hooking the bird. I was frightened and cut the line... I was afraid the seagulls would attack me

Somewhere around is a seagull with a black jitterbug stuck in him.

I was out in the yard practicing my casting and a bunch of squirells just came and swarmed it kinda like the bass do. I treid to reel it in but the squirell was just to fast..... BAM! He hits it like a ton and I set the hook. I get him landed and I clean him and a few others I caught and put them in the fryin pan............ yeah it was something you DON'T forget. oh yeah forgot a bald eagle on a fluke -them suckers can pull i tell ya - which i cut the line and lost my fluke.

if you fish as many high end housing areas as i do. the sqerls are about as tame as a house cat. and will come out on the roofs of boat houses to say hi!. i like to threw a texas rigged worm but every one has there own tatse.ya need a special cast also i like to call it "the hotty in a kini on the second story" cast..lol

which i use quite a BIT during the midday duldrums -any thing after 11am-during the summer...

wierdest non fish I've ever caught was a greater siren, ugly looking fish/eel/salamander/dinosaur looking thing. If you don't know what one is, look here http://www.dgif.state.va.us/wildlife...s/020058-1.jpg

I've also pulled out bikes, turtles, snakes, and gators.

I can say almost with certainty that Zooker is pulling yalls leg about the dead body. By definition he didn't catch it, cause he was the one trying to sink it in the first place.

nope wtl i did catch one.. i was trolling for trout on lake erie and caught a ice fisherman. i thought at first i hung a log 10 miles out from shore-which is odd enough-but i kept gaingin line so i just kept reeling that was till the arm broke the surface 30 feet from the boat -PU- that sucker did stink something nasty. we called the coast guard who was none to happy but took the poor feller.

Might sound unbelievable but a spider monkey. when I was younger I used to fish at the zoo, and a river runs through the zoo and they had a monkey house on the edge of the river. and the best fishing was right near the house...long story short a little boy near monkeys with a fishing pole is the right recipe for disaster!

I aint tryin that again. The bird drug me and my rod around the yard. We ended up shooting it......................... Fed another one a skittle one day hunting

My son had a seagull take his topwater plug in mid air as he made his cast. Reeled it in and had to unhook the darn thing. Boy was that fun.
Caught a sump pump and as I pulled it into shore, an eel came out the top of the pipe.
Made a cast and hauled in a plastic kitchen bag filled with water and inside still alive and swimming was a killie.
Trying to get the kinks out of my ultra light I put a Musky spoon on and made a long cast. As I brought it back hooked a 18 inch carp in the tail. Took me about 15 min to bring it in on 4 pound line, didn't want to lose the lure.
But the snake at the top of this thread is the best!

Speaking of dead bodies. There was a department store down the street from where my brothers and I grew up. Some times they would put the clothes dummies in the back, and with a little help the dummies would throw themselves into the river we fished in. All the kids would try to hit if with rocks. One day, my brother was throwing rocks at what he thought was one of these dummies, until the cops came by and yelled at him. They than went into the river and brought out a homeless fellow who had been missing for a few days.

I was deep sea fishing once and caught what I guess was some kind of eel. It was almost 7 feet long. The deck hand cut it before I could get it up. He said he didn't know what it was, but it didn't look happy and he didn't want it on his boat.

I've never caught anything that weird myself, but my friend did catch a pair of painties on a red shad worm once, that one cracked me up.
