Bass Pro Shops® Extreme™ Baitcast Reels What’s your style? We offer the Extreme baitcaster in both a high-speed model (6.3:1 gear ratio, for all you run-and-gun specialists out there) and a standard model with 5.2:1 gear ratio—perfect for those seeking a quality reel adaptable to many different techniques. Either way, you’ll find the Extreme very smooth, nicely balanced, an absolute pleasure to use. The 5-bearing system includes PowerLock™ instant anti-reverse for positive hookups every time. Line not included.

To post pictures you have to:

1. *Post the pictures to a seperate website.
2. *Go to that picture wherever it may be and right cllick on it. *
3. *Click properties.
4. *You will see an address right next to where it says source after you open the properties box. *
5. *Highlight the entire address
6. *Right click and hit copy
7. *When posting a reply, hit the button above that says insert image.
8. *You will see 2 image tags come up on the screen.
9. *click in-between them to insert a cursor.
10. *You can either right click and hit paste, or you can just hit ctrl+V *to get it to paste the link.
11. *Hit post and you have inserted an image.

Sometimes the image won't work, so you may have to practice a little with it, but that doesn't mean to eat up space trying to insert an image. *Sometimes websites won't allow you to link to the photos. *To post mine, I use www.myfishingpics.com and it works everytime.

Hope this helps you out

The extreme rod is a lot nicer than the performance rod, but the reels are the same. If you've got the mony get the extreme rod and reel combo, if you feel like saving some bux, get the performance rod/extreme reel combo.

Cman-I'm not a big fan of the BPS rods. They are excellent rods, I just don't like the hump handle, but that's just me.

Extreme reels-with one exception they are all I use. Smooth as silk, can cast a long way as well as casting some pretty light lures. I highly recommend them.

All my poles are BPS extreme, no problems. Also have picked up the bionic blade spinning very happy. All poles 7' and either MH-H.

Apples and Oranges.

I don't care for quantum reels in the first place, and the Iron is only a mediocre reel,IMO.
However, the BPS extreme is an incredible reel for the money.
It is (almost) as good as the Pflueger Trion LP. Same style of reel.

If you like the iron, and don't mind a low profile reel, you will love the extreme.

Get the extreme combo. I have a performance rod and i don't like it as much.(heavier and stiffer). I have some bps rods, and am not crazy about any of them, but the extreme is the best i have. I prefer Falcon, myself.

I've got a couple of BPS extream reels, and I really like them. Got a BPS hump back rod too that I like. I like the hump back feature but others may not.
